CLEANING UP EQUIPMENT

All equipment being reused in the Jellett Rapid Test must be cleaned between tests.

To do this, create a 10% bleach solution by mixing 1 part common household bleach with 9 parts water.  Pour this cleaning solution into a container and put the equipment in it. Larger pieces must be rinsed in this bleach solution until all foreign material is removed. The blender can be operated in the bleach solution until it is clean. When the equipment is clean, make sure to rinse in clean fresh water until there is no bleach odor. 

Cleaning with bleach solution and rinsing are both very important steps. 

This will ensure that equipment is free from previous samples also free from bleach residue.
